Join us in July 2008 as we worship in large group, complete our study of Principle six with a lesson on GRACE and begin a study of recovery Principle 7:  “Reserve a daily time with God for self-examination, Bible reading and prayer in order to know God and His will for my life and to gain the power to follow His will.” Following large group worship, and study time, we will break into gender specific small groups and discuss the lesson and principle. 
 
Principle seven focuses on spiritual growth through the disciplined effort of having a quiet time each day to read and study the Bible, pray and examine our lives.  Principle seven is not about maintenance of our spiritual condition; it’s about spiritual growth.  If we haven’t fully recovered yet, then why would we want to just maintain something less than God’s perfect ideal for us?   This principle requires discipline which is a nasty word to some, but if we want our life to change and grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ, then we have to spend quality time with Him.  We will present and discuss Principle 7 lessons entitled CROSSROADS (A decision point in our recovery) and learn how to conduct a DAILY INVENTORY. In addition we will have a related devotional.
