Connection Seminar is an introduction to our Church Family.  This is where most people have their first chance to learn about Cherokee Hills and what it means to become part of our church family.  A clear presentation of the Gospel is given, as well as a “full load” of pertinent information about our church.  Toward the end of the class, an opportunity is given to those who wish to become a member of Cherokee Hills.

Frequently Asked Questions:

• Q: How long is the CLASS?
  This is a one-time seminar that lasts 2 hours, beginning at 5:00 and lasting until 7:00pm, with a light supper to follow.
• Q: What if at the end of the CLASS I don’t know if I want to become a member yet?
  That’s fine.  You can make that choice.  This is a personal decision we suggest you give prayerful consideration, and is between you and God.
• Q: What if I have already been baptized by immersion after I committed my life to Christ, do I have to be re-baptized to become a member?
  No. If you were baptized by a church that views baptism as an act of obedience and not as a part of your salvation, we would accept your baptism for membership.  The best thing to do would be to contact one of our pastors and share with them the information regarding your baptism.
• Q: I was baptized at another church by sprinkling, does that count?
  One of the membership requirements is being baptized by immersion. Jesus was baptized by immersion, every baptism in the Bible was by immersion and the word “baptize” literally means “to dip into water”.
• Q: Am I able to attend regular Sunday evening activities the night of the seminar?
  No, the seminar takes place during the same time as the other activities.
• Q: Is there child-care available?
  Yes, there is a nursery for preschoolers and children’s programs for school-aged children through 5th grade available.
• Q: Is there a Connection Seminar for youth and children?
  Yes, there is a Kid’s Konnection and a Youth Connection that usually meet on the same day as the Adult Connection Seminar.

MEMBERSHIP: After completing the requirements for membership (Accepting Jesus Christ as Savior, being baptized, completing Connection Seminar 101, and signing the Membership Covenant), people join our church family (Eph. 2:19).  It is our joy to welcome new members into the Cherokee Hills family.

Once people have joined our church family, we offer many different ministries to help make a big place small. This is where people begin to connect with their church family, deepen their relationships, and change their lives!
