We all grieve the passing of our dear friend and Children's Pastor, Mark Gibson.  Words cannot adequately express, not only the void felt in our hearts, but also the impact he has had in our growing children's ministry.  Mark had such love for children ... and children loved Mark. 

  Mark joined our staff at Cherokee Hills Baptist Church March 16, 2008.  When he arrived he hit the ground running and never stopped.  It was not at all uncommon to see Mark walking down the hall with kids hanging all over him.  He just attracted them like a magnet.  His heart was summed up in a statement he made, that he "thoroughly enjoyed working with children and watching the light come on when they get it!" 

Mark will be greatly missed.  Our prayers and support are with Sue, Jordan, Juli, Josh & wife Brittany.

A memorial fund has been established at Cherokee Hills Baptist Church.  Checks should be made out to Cherokee Hills Baptist Church, and designate in the memo:  Gibson Family Memorial.
